During European Youth Chess Championship (EYCC) U8-U18 in Riga on August of
2018 you have opportunity to get first class training of your chess activity and get
the International qualification at seminars to be organized by the Latvian Chess
Federation under the auspice of FIDE. The seminars will give the latest tendencies and
practice of chess coaching and chess rules by leading world chess experts, the
Chairmen of FIDE Commissions. The schedule of both seminars are in timing table
(attached).
The FIDE Trainers Seminar will take-up 15 hours with one-hour written examinations at
the end of course. Lecturer will be GM Adrian Mickhalchishin, The Chairman of FIDE
Trainers’ Commission. According to the total result of the exam by evaluation tables, the
titles are awarded: FIDE Trainer (FT), FIDE Instructor (FI), National Instructor (NI) or
Developmental Instructor (DI). The application (registration) to the Riga FTS seminar
should be made at http://trainers.fide.com/ by filling in the ID-CARD.
The FIDE Arbiters Seminar will take-up 4 days morning sessions (before the rounds of
EYCC 2018) with two-hours FIDE Arbiter test at the end of course. Lecturer will be IA
Ashot Vardapetyan (ARM), FIDE Rules Commission Chairman and Assistant Lecturer –
– IA Andra Cimina (LAT). The application registration to the Riga FA seminar should be
made online by filling Application at Registration for FA seminar in Riga 2018 .
